Travis E. Barker, Sr, 86, of Hartford, peacefully departed this life on Sep 29,2020.

A lifelong resident of the Hartford and St. Joseph areas, he will be missed. Travis was born July 9, 1934 in Savannah, TN. A Hartford High School graduate, class of 1953, Travis was a stand-out athlete who led his team to the State Basketball Semi-finals. He played for House of David basketball team and as opponent to the Harlem Globetrotters. He was a veteran who served in the U.S. Army in Germany, before returning back to settle into civilian life. He was employed for over 20 years at Clark Equipment. He took his family across the US camping, exploring the wonder that is America. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He spent many hours on his boat with his lines in the water. His favorite times were on Lake Michigan, waiting for the excitement of a yellow perch “double header”. Honestly, any lake or fish would do – he loved it!
