Michigan State Police say they made several arrests and confiscated nine guns over the past four weeks in the city of Benton Harbor as part of the Secure Cities Partnership with the community. In their latest report, state police say three of the guns were confiscated during a single traffic stop on June 26 in which one suspect was arrested and charges will be sought for two others who ran off. On June 17 state police assisted Benton Township police with an armed robbery investigation at the AT&T and T-Mobile stores and on June 24, they assisted Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety with a shooting investigation. Troopers have also made a variety of warrant arrests, six for carrying a concealed weapon and one for assault.
