Spectrum Health Lakeland is helping people sign up for health insurance as a new open enrollment period opens up for the Affordable Care Act. Spectrum Health Lakeland Patient Access Manager Jenna Howard tells WSJM News people often don’t know how to navigate the open marketplace.
“The marketplace can be very confusing,” Howard said. “There are so many plans to choose from and there’s a lot of terminology out there around their premiums, their deductibles, their co-pays, and many people just don’t understand what all of this actually means.”
Howard says with the pandemic going on, there is likely a greater need for people to find healthcare. The open enrollment period is now and runs through December 15. Howard says you can call Spectrum Health Lakeland financial advocates for help in signing up for coverage.
