The percentage of COVID-19 tests that come back positive in Berrien County is now up to 8%. That’s compared to about 5% last Monday and 3% a couple of months ago. The Berrien County Health Department has said the goal is to keep the percentage positive at 3% or lower. The department’s COVID dashboard for Tuesday showed 33 non intensive care unit hospitalizations and 2 ICU hospitalizations. Meanwhile, Berrien County’s death total is now 80 and the county has had a total of 2,498 cases, according to the dashboard. The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services reported 2,367 additional cases of the illness for Tuesday.
