Paul V. Ryan

Paul V. Ryan, 93, of Coloma, passed away Saturday, Sept. 26. 2020 at his home.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens. Visitation will take place from 5-8 Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the North Berrien Senior Center, Caring Circle or the Apostolic Tabernacle Church. Paul was born Nov. 24, 1926 in LaCross, Arkansas to Oscar and Minnie Ryan. He moved to Coloma in 1947 and spent the next 60 years on his family farm. He enjoyed traveling  and hunting in his free time and was a member of the NRA. Paul also spent allot of time fishing with his son Greg and had many fishing tales to tell about their time on Lake Okeechobee in Florida. Paul was a people person. He was a former coach with the Coloma Little League, a life member of the Horticultural Society of Michigan and a longtime member of the Apostolic Tabernacle Church in Benton Harbor.

Paul is survived by his wife Billie whom he married on June 25, 1949; his son Greg (Sandy) Ryan of Denver, Colorado; his sisters Alice (Don) Boyer of Benton Harbor and Virgie Davis of Lawrence; and numerous nieces and nephews whom he adored.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Edith Brewer, Thelma Redding and Armilda Redding; and his brother Carl Ryan.
