LaSata Holding MI COVID Hero School Essay Contest

School kids in southwest Michigan are invited to take part in an essay competition through state Senator Kim LaSata. Her “MI COVID-19 Hero” essay contest is for all K-12 students in the district. One winner will be chosen from among grades K-5 and 6-12 entries, respectively. Winners will be announced Monday, November 9. The essays should be to honor the sacrifices and heroism of southwest Michigan’s healthcare and service workers during the coronavirus battle. LaSata is only accepting emailed submissions to SenKLaSata@senate.michigan.gov. All submissions need the name, grade and hometown of the participant along with their parent’s or guardian’s name and phone number.
