Kenneth L Rau

Kenneth Lyle Rau was born February 9, 1941 in Adrian, Michigan and went home to be with the Lord at the age of 79 on October 22, 2020.

Services celebrating his life will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, October 27, at the Lakeshore Hagar Cemetery in Hagar Township. Memorials may be made to the Niles Ave Baptist Church. Please share messages, memories, or photos at www.florin.net.

A service of remembrance will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, October 31, at the Niles Ave Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Willis officiating. A time of fellowship will follow the service.

Ken was an exceptional bowler for many years. Ken achieved two 300 games and sixteen 700 series games and was a member of the Wild Life Group at Kelly’s Bowl. Ken loved to play golf and achieved a hole-in-one in August of 2016 at Indian Hills.

Ken served in the United States Navy from June 1958 – Jan 1962 achieving the rank of Machinist Mate Third Class. After being honorably discharged, Ken worked part time at the Herald Palladium for 20 years and Whirlpool full time for 45 years where he retired. He served God in many churches through his lifetime with his final church home being Niles Avenue Baptist Church where he continued to be an active member of God’s family.

Ken is survived by his loving wife Patsy (59 yrs of marriage), their children Anthony Rau (Julie), Lisa Boone (Horace), one sister Paget Whitney (Bill), three grandchildren Steven Rau, Noah Rau and Tegan Champine, four great grandchildren Adrian, Matt, James and Cole and several nieces and nephews.
